About the Worldwide Leung Sheung Lineage Association (WLSLA)

The mission of the Worldwide Leung Sheung Lineage Association is to serve practitioners and the general public as an informational resource about Leung Sheung and his Wing Chun legacy.

Goals:

1. Preserve the memory of Leung Sheung
2. Bring awareness to Leung Sheung as one of Wing Chun's major contributors
3. Demonstrate the essence and interpretation of Wing Chun that Leung Sheung captured through Yip Man
4. Provide information for those wishing to learn Wing Chun and its principles as captured and passed down by Leung Sheung

The WLSLA and its members assume a duty to:

1. Educate and inform the public about Leung Sheung, his Wing Chun legacy, and the essential principles he taught and espoused
2. Illustrate how a large man like Leung Sheung so closely interpreted Wing Chun as a woman's martial art
3. Relay information about Leung Sheung and his fellow students such as Lok Yiu who acquired similar skills and knowledge under Yip Man's guidance
4. Provide special informational services for members and practitioners within the Leung Sheung lineage
5. Ensure that members of the WLSLA and affiliated Lineage Holders are aligned with the mission, philosophies, and goals of the WLSLA
6. Ensure that the WLSLA and the LeungSheung.com website retain an emphasis on information and education rather than advertising

The WLSLA does not operate for a profit motive. Money raised through membership dues or other efforts will be used to defray startup costs and for sustaining the organization and supporting mechanisms such as website construction.
